Whatcom County MRC and Washington State Region 1

The Washington State Region 1 Medical Reserve Corps Coalition was born out of a desire to formalize our already good working relationships in order to increase our recruiting ability, take advantage of economies of scale, and better coordinate and share resources.  It is open to any active MRC unit located in Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish, Island, and San Juan Counties.  This includes tribal units.  We believe that the more we support each other, the stronger we all are. 

As a result of our group effort, we have been awarded $20,000 to use in support of the MRC.  These funds will be used to better prepare our units to assist in community crisis that hit our area hospitals.
